Phasing Out EnterZon.com Accounts
The vast majority of problems users seem to encounter with Zon have nothing to do with Zon itself, but with our bizarre Two-Account™ system. We're very close to doing away with that completely.
Currently, to play Zon, you need to register for the game. Then, if you want to say anything on our support forum, you need to register for EnterZon.com separately.
This has never been very clear, and that's our fault. We're sorry.
The good news: we're getting very close to a Single-Account™ setup. Sometime next week we'll be phasing out the EnterZon.com account completely.
That means you'll be able to log in to our new forums with your Zon account name and password--the same one you'd use to play the game.
The bad news: if you registered on EnterZon.com but never registered for the game, your account won't be useful anymore. You'll need to register for the game.
We'll be making a few other small changes next week. I'll try to write more about them early in the week, but here's a quick summary:
Early November, 2008
- EnterZon.com accounts are being phased out. Zon Game accounts are now used to log in to everything.
- New Support/Community forums unveiled.
- New address for the game (much shorter and easier to remember). Update your bookmarks!
Soon After
- Simplified registration.
- New EnterZon.com.
- Manage your account outside the game.
